Gayle Adams

Gayle is a Fellow of the Institutes’ of Actuaries of Australia and India and is a fully certified Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary. 

She has been based in India for 5 years and provides advice in Asian & Gulf countries. She is also the Appointed Actuary of Indian and Fijian general insurance companies and until February was an independent company director of an Indian health TPA and Chair of the Risk Management Committee.

She has over 20 years’ experience in insurance and broader health financing in Asia, Australasia/Oceania and the USA.  She has held both internal executive insurance & senior consulting roles including being the Chief Actuary and Head of Risk Management of two significant insurers with full technical and financial accountability as well as her current Appointed Actuary roles and country head of two large multi-national actuarial consulting firms.  

She has assisted stakeholders with product development and strategies, group & retail pricing, ERM, statutory work, underwriting, claims and provider management, distribution, mergers & acquisitions, market entry strategies and financial turn-arounds. 

Beyond general actuarial & business skills, Gayle has particular expertise in health & ERM that extends to claims management, provider management/ reimbursement/ incentives, underwriting, administration system implementation, data warehousing, PPP’s to introducing ERM at board level. 

Gayle is a fixed wing glider pilot and enjoys ocean yacht racing.
